Company History

Founded in June 2014 in Vienna, Austria, Alternative Energy Solutions GmbH (ALTESO) quickly established itself as a leader in the renewable energy sector. Initially focusing on providing monitoring services for solar power plants in the CIS region, ALTESO developed a groundbreaking digital project, PEAK, which revolutionized solar PV power plant efficiency and monitoring. By 2019, ALTESO had successfully implemented PEAK analyses for over 700 MW of solar power plants across more than 10 countries.

In addition to its core services, ALTESO was a co-investor in DAS Energy GmbH – an R&D start-up dedicated to developing innovative non-glass photovoltaic modules. These cutting-edge modules, made from glass-reinforced plastic, offered lightweight and flexible applications suitable for modern architecture, mobile use, and remote energy supply. This collaboration showcased ALTESO’s commitment to pioneering technologies that push the boundaries of renewable energy.

In 2021, ALTESO sold the PEAK Technology, marking a pivotal shift in the company’s journey. Despite significant challenges, including the loss of the Ukrainian market due to the Russian military invasion in 2022, ALTESO has emerged resilient and focused on its new mission. Today, ALTESO offers expert consulting and advisory services, helping clients navigate the fast-evolving renewable energy landscape.
